Either your factory electronic steering damper does a lousy job, or just thrown in the keys, by disconnecting it from the main harness of the bike, you will end up with a blinding FI light staying on. As this could mask more serious bike issues, it’s strongly recommended to get rid of the FI light! This is where the SD Eliminator comes handy – just plug it in to the factory damper’s connector and you’re ready to go!
(After disconnecting the factory electronic unit, we recommend using a quality aftermarket steering damper from a reputable brand/supplier (like HyperPro, Ohlins, etc)!
